Description
Here she is in all her glory, the very first de Havilland Mosquito. She is the original prototype and is preserved at the very place in which she was designed, built and first flew, Salisbury Hall in Hertfordshire.
There is a small museum housed there now dedicated to de Havilland types. This museum is known as the de Havilland Aviation Heritage Centre. There are several other Mosquito airframes preseved there too along with some other famous types to proudly bare the name de Havilland. This prototype is under restoration which is why she is missing various parts in this photograph.
