The Boultbee Academy Supermarine Spitfire carrying precious cargo during the Battle of Britain 75th Anniversary commemorations, RAF Westhampnett/Goodwood.
In the back seat taking flight for his very last flight in a Spitfire was Wing Commander Thomas Francis "Ginger" Neil. At the time that this photograph was taken, he was the sole surviving veteran and ace to have flown in combat against the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. Very sadly, he has since passed away at the age of 97.
